Thanks Leo for putting on the workshop future proofing your business.

After a successful 2009 I began to think that what had built success during the last 15 years may not ensure success in 2010 and beyond. I needed to look at the business with fresh eyes; I knew I needed a ‘toe-hold’ to get goals and strategies going.

When I read of Leo Petrik’s workshop ‘future proofing your business’ I felt that I had found what I needed.

At the workshop Leo started by asking questions about what had limited success in the past. I found out what type of networker I am and how to plan my networking accordingly. I learnt details of how to best engage people in networking meetings. I learnt a lot about which parts of the business I am best at and which I need to ‘outsource’ so that I don’t spend time and energy on things I am not good at or which are not worthwhile.

A key learning for me was how to set specific networking goals for both traditional and electronic networking. I also learnt how to follow up on networking well and effectively. I also learnt how to identify my business’s main asset and how I can capitalise on that. I learnt how to plan and organise vital business information better. As well, I learned how to use the internet for networking.

Overall I learned many new things that will help set my goals and plans for next year. I discovered how to get rid of habits that have not helped in the past.

I would recommend this workshop for those that realise they don’t know it all, that want to do better and who realise that the shortest distance between two points is not a straight line.
