“Your Hidden Goldmine”, was first conceived during a workshop I have been conducting over the last couple of years called “Future Proofing Your Business”.

One of the key elements of this workshop was identifying one of the most valuable cornerstones for the success of any business, no matter how small or large.  We, collectively as a group, came to realise that no matter what you did in your business, everything came down to “Your Hidden Goldmine”.

The biggest challenge for businesses was that to some degree they all had this resource, hardly recognized, poorly developed and certainly under utilised.  It made me realise  that this was a primary reason why so many businesses failed from start-up.

Government statistics vary from country to country, however the Australian figures seem to be roughly an indication of what they are around the world.

When businesses start, in the first three years 85% of them will fail.  In the next three years 85% of the remaining 15% will fail.  What this means is that only 9 businesses in every 400 will see their seventh year and have a real shot at becoming successful.

Interestingly enough, these nine businesses ALL utilise their “Hidden Goldmine”, to a larger degree than those businesses that failed in the previous six years.
